woo hoo. Lockdown is pretty well over.
Went for a drive, had a practice drive and then drove home. Plus, had to show lock-down QR check-in with the double vax My-Gov linkage to get into the driving range.
And sunny too. What a good day.
Good morning daily

Re: Good morning daily
Went for the hearing test in Adelaide for the Industrial Hearing Services claim (as seen on TV) and the young lady (under 66 yrs old is now classed as young) confirmed that in fact, I'm deaf
Yet to see if this claim goes anywhere, the last one came to a dead end when the legal eagles realised my deafness was the result of working in NSW, so country but very different laws, they gave up real quick .... I'm guessing this one will go the same way, but with my win against the insurance machine the other day, it can't hurt to try again eh

Re: Good morning daily
T1, I made a claim against work over Qld a few years ago for industrial deafness. They were very quick to direct me to the right place to claim against the Vic % of my working career. I was lucky enough to get a % payment from each one.
Here's hoping yours can be as successful.

Re: Good morning daily
Good morning again. Looks like I didn't hit submit before.
We had 34mm of rain yesty from clouds the BoM radar couldn't even see. Same time as Bris was having a tornado that they didn't know about.
Went to optometrist for some new sunnies, wore the old ones out standing too close to some bonfires a few weeks ago. Prescription sunglasses aren't cheap, are they.
Enjoy your golf Jd. Safe travels everybody. Have a lovely weekend.

Did you go down face first in the fire and melt the lenses? How do you wear-out sunglasses?supersparky wrote: ↑Sat Oct 23, 2021 10:53 am Good morning again. Looks like I didn't hit submit before.

In defence of the BoM radar, it is looking at water content in the lower more likely to cause rain clouds, not the higher up stuff. The radar might show there is a lot of rain in the clouds passing overhead, but that doesn't mean it's your rain, it could be someone else's rain just passing through (got that one from Carmel [Tom & Carmel] who knows about this stuff).
The very high level clouds can hold a lot of water, but it is in frozen vapour form. An updraft of hot air will heat localised patches of this frozen vapour, the droplets form into bigger droplets till they are too heavy to stay up in the cloud. In the long trip down, the droplets start to combine into bigger and bigger drops, a lot of water over a very short period that normal size drops probably wouldn't have reached the ground but rather formed lower level cloud as they again evaporated .......
If you still think climate change is not happening, you probably think the gubament is injecting micro chips in the vaccine doses .......

Re: Good morning daily
T1, according to the optometrist, if you let your glasses get too hot, or exposed to anything more than moderate heat for a while, the lenses distort and become next to useless.
Just another expensive lesson in what you shouldn't do.
I can believe the explanation for the rain as I would hope that Mr BoM would have been expecting hail to be in our current weather pattern. We have had some interesting cloud formations floating by lately.
Not sure that we will ever convince our present gubment that climate change is real.

Re: Good morning daily
Climate change is nothing more than a brain washing exercise by over educated boffins.
There have been flood, heatwaves, cyclones & all the rest since long before records were ever kept.
Only takes a bit of research to find out. Nope, we'll believe to doom sayers ............
S***t let's go top ourselves before we all suffer..............
