After a week or more of disassembly of the Winnie steps fiasco, then fabrication of a better mounting method, some photos

Not easy to do it turns out, and I had to do 8 of them

for those wondering why I needed to drill a square hole
Winnie step bolts.jpg
This was because there would be no access to the bolt heads to use countersunk Allen key bolts and they couldn't be tack welded in place because the bolts needed to be removeable to get the frame out.

Measured the size the bracket needed to be so the bottom of the steps didn't drop below the body skirt when folded away

Can you see the problem

The steps need to come out as they drop open, the top step gets caught behind the body skirt so can't deploy them ......

The fix is either cut up the body skirt, or go back to a two step system ......

If I drop the steps down lower, there is a risk of them bottoming out over steep driveways etc .... I'll sleep on the problem and see if I wake up with a fix or just a migraine

The Jenga from patio has been reconstructed as an extended temporary arrangement
