Good morning daily

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

"tanks" here---
Another great day in Central Qld and the sun is turned on with the temp running around 22 c. Yesterday we had rain in heavy squalls in the afternoon and showers throughout the night, but clear sky now.
Bernie, I fear for you doing a slippery dip from up there on the roof with only Carol to catch you.
Keith.

Terry, have you considered something like one of these?
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005002071156760.html?
I have two of those and two of the centrifugal multi disc pumps in pieces in the spares bin. The ones you linked to are "mono" pumps with a chromed snake looking impeller inside a rubber multi chamber sleeve, the fine silt in the water chews the rubber to bits while grinding the chrome off the impeller .... no spares available ..... and the water eventually leaks into the motor and that is that .... it's the inverter in the base that fried, not the motor itself.
The multi disc centrifugal pumps are multi stage, each one feeds into the next stage so the next pump is pressure fed ...... the catch is, the dirty water spinning through these elements separates most of the dirt from the water and cakes it inside each element. The element pieces are plastic and they just get chewed away until 15 elements fit into the same space as the original 11 elements, the next rebuild the bits are so worn there is so much bypass in each element it doesn't have any lift capacity .....

Looking at a pump on Alibaba that is supposed to run directly off solar, submersible and pump dirty water to a height of 10 mtrs, sent off a question about replacement parts for the pump and now I can't even find the item I was look at ....... a very confusing site

George, have a shower or perhaps stand outside in the rain.

Sort of had a plan to travel to the Melbourne area to pick up some cells for a house battery set up as well as some tired EV cells to build a few cheaper portable batteries for camping set ups .... but the flooding has sort of knocked that on the head for a while .....

Good afternoon, we did get to bowl, social, we won, only a few spots of rain, I was surprised after driving thru rain pelting down so heavy that it slowed the traffic on the way home from Bruce's appointment with his eye specialist, his long vision is 100% but he needs reading glasses, appointment tomorrow with the Optomerist.
Sunshine now, still grey clouds hanging around so maybe some more rain later.
