Good morning daily

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Otherwise you spend half a day cleaning everything first
But you already know that now.
Spoilt with a big roof overhead, the roof over the motorhome leaks big time .... doesn't offer much shade in full sun either and the wind seems to blow straight through

As I finished the last post, it started raining again, so a mad rush to get all the bits into the motorhome bins .... fortunately, it was only the new Sidchrome socket set that got real wet, so a can of WD40 and a chux cloth should sort that out, the rest had the lids closed or were just small hand tools ..... besides the Ozito 18v stuff  Lucky I have an air compressor now :D

Aevo all yes cooler today and we had a sprinkle of rain today. David it doesn't matter if T has a roof over where he is working or not the tools are left where they fall  Which reminds me have you finished with those tools Gman lent you? Take care everyone. Booked in for the next Covid jab.

Hello All, 28* with 37* forecast, so not a good morning.
I am suffering with quite serious lower back pain which is worse when I stand after sitting or after being in bed. the closest physio appt available is 4 weeks away.
The inside part of our aircon has started making a clicking sound and I guess I won't be able to get it serviced for a similar amount of time.

[edit 10:25] Aircon service scheduled for 5th Feb 3-5pm - I hope it survives until then, particularly the hot days approaching.

Good morning everyone. Its been very hot and humid in lakeside Mulwala. The oldies aren't handling it very well at all. We only came outside for essential stuff, like a visit to shops for some food.
George, stay inside under the airco. Rest your back.
Bernie, you better get a boat I reckon, if half of what the BoM people just said on the ABC.
I am on BBQ duty for lunch today, I reckon it'll be done under the verandah.
Take care all those out and about, safe travels.
Cheers
David

Good afternoon, BOM tells me it is 37.8 at the moment, feels really hot outside, luckily we have a N/W breeze across the lake, waiting for a phone call from our GP, Bruce has an infection in his big toe again, thinking it might be an ingrown toenail, hopefully he will prescribe antibiotics.

Actually glad that I didn’t go to bowls today, just to hot playing when it gets to over 30c, although they do keep a check on the humidity & we are told to come of the green if it gets to high.

Always a big day on Australia Day, the greens get decorated with Aussie flags, barbecued sausages on a rolls & our bakery owners Di & John (bowling members) supply lamingtons, the men are organising it this year.

Be very vigilant regarding any infections under the toenails. Margaret has already lost the end of two toes and has been fighting an infection in a third toe for over 6 mths.
The infection burrows through the skin and into the bone, then all hell breaks loose ...

Wow Terry, this all started with fungus nail a few months ago, better not tell Bruce Margaret’s toe history, hopefully we will get to see AJ our GP today, the nail is so tender it really hurts to touch it, Bruce has been bathing it yesterday & this morning. :o

Gwando Crabs, have just posted tomorrow’s Australia Day bowls celebration is cancelled owing to predicted weather, first time in over 10 years that I have been a member, they do have entertainment from 1.30 & invited everyone for a few drinks.

Maybe it was a white shirt, but the flies make it look black
Not game to put a thermometer out in the sun over this way, it gets stressed within an inch of its life in the shade
We are having the occasional drop of rain at the moment, just to keep the humidity up

Trying to sort the wiring inside the motorhome with no power to run the air con or even a fan, it doesn't take long to send me back inside looking for the air conditioned comfort .... why people insist on running 12v wiring and 240vac wiring together beats me, it's like they have a death wish or no idea about electrical safety ..... I wonder how they get an electrical compliance certificate, maybe the 12v cables are added afterwards and the 240vac cables supply an easy path through the walls ......
