Once my wet macular degeneration was brought under control, my vision gets better at each 12 week visit for the next lot of needles. Still waiting to get the left cataract done, the public system just takes so long between the visit that confirms the cataract needs doing and actually getting to get it done, but now the business is no more, the money just isn't there, nor the need to have it sorted as soon as possible, so I'll wait .....Shirley wrote: ↑Fri Aug 09, 2024 10:34 pm Bruce bought glasses from a very well know 2 for the price of one optometrist, he had his eyes tested a second time when the new glasses were useless, the second ones were useless too, I took them back & told them that they were no bloody good, to which the woman replied, “don’t swear at me”anyway she gave me a refund.
We went to an independent optometrist, didn’t tell him about what had transpired, after he tested Bruce’s eyes he told Bruce, no good prescribing glasses for you, you need to have cataracts removed from both eyes, he sent us to an eye specialist to have same removed, after which Bruce had eyes tested again & new glasses prescribed which were good.
Unfortunately the beginning of this year Bruce had the massive bleed in his right eye causing wet macular degeneration, the eye is improving slowing after injections, still not good vision, he now has to have eyes tested again & new glasses.
Good news George, hope your door arrives Monday, wishing you & Julie a good holiday, enjoy.
