The greatest advantage of loosing your memory is ...... umm..... You get a lot more exercise wandering around looking for .... then you find something you weren't actually looking for this time but something you think you were looking for on a previous search .... so you take that back to the bench and then try to remember what the project was you needed the bit you found ..... put it on the bench, spot the calculations or drawings you made that sent you off searching, so you take them with you this time ..... then put them down to pick up the item you were after, return to the bench and now can't find the calculation or drawing .... then spend the rest of the available time looking for said piece of paper ..... and find the paperwork for the project you started weeks back ..... and then all the spare time you put aside has ended ........
The greatest thing about loosing your memory is, you are always busy but can't remember what it was you were doing when asked what you did today .... then you get presented with a new list of things to do .....
Could this be the answer to the age old question, why do you get so busy once you retire?

Re: Thought for Today
I reckon you nailed it T1. We all just forget to remember. See the Good morning thread for proof. The best part about losing your memory is that you don't know, it's just hard for your partner or children.
Cheers

"tanks" here---
Sirens going a few streets away from the Bunker. In fact; 2 ambulances, escorted by 4 police cars with lights and sirens all the way to the hospital. MAJOR DRAMA for this small town. Even though I didn't see any of it and only heard the commotion it was more exciting than watching the Thursday bin truck.
There is only one police officer resident in town. The additional police came from close towns North and South near Dysart.
Some of the additional police were here within 20 minutes.

I'm now 87 years old, having experienced another birthday, and I'm still living in WA, single (gave up looking), white hair, no teeth, no money, no worries.
I plan to have another birthday next year.
