Re: Good morning daily
Dot should be in NZ by now.
We have spent the last two days, just acclimatising to the damned humidity. It's also been very hot here, like it's summer.
Yesterday we unpacked most of our travel cases etc and found homes for most of the contents. Today all the contents of the boxes that had been delivered from catch of the day, while we were away, were stashed into various pantry cupboards. Our poor tenant has carted some very heavy boxes and also some awkward large boxes between our places. She deserves a nice surprise soon...don't quite know what, but she will get some chockies or something.
We did a small grocery shop and in this heat, that was really enough for us both.

Good morning.
Wow that's some money tied up doing nothing Terry.
I fixed the small leak under the sink... that was easy
I played around with the new TV bracket... but nothing achieved..
I also mowed front and back lawns... the back after lunch. Twas mid 30s again again again it's becoming a pain in the you know where

But today I'm going to Murgan with neighbour to pick up a motorbike... early model Royal Enfield...pre made in India.
Temperature already in the 20s and it's not even 5 am.
Keep safe and cool.
Bernie.

Re: Good morning daily
Good morning everyone. Its about 24β° now heading for 29β°.
We might get a few showers or maybe even a storm later on. It's a bit gloomy outside at the mo'.
It was a bit of a moon rocket day yesty, I thought about doing something but nothing much eventuated.
We had a major surge of activity late in the day, after shifting the Winny the fridge it didn't want to be cold anymore. I must get around to installing a domestic inverter fridge soon.
Enjoy your weekend, whatever you get up to.
Are you bowling again Shirley.
Safe travels if you are out and about.

Re: Good morning daily
Only 4 Shirley, the truck and the Fairmont are on seasonal rego, 3 mths at time as we need them, the Winnie is on pensioner rego, so that one free, and the Pruis is registered in Margaret's name ...... next week there will be 5, but the Fairmont will return to the unregistered list and so will the truck in a mth or so.

Re: Good morning daily
Not a lot of money paid out Bernie, some of them will provide a good few $$ when they are repaired and sold, the others are for parts. Unfortunately, the inverter pump out of the ex taxi Prius wasn't any good ..... wondering if that was the reason it was mucking up and we took it off the road in the first place. $46 and a few weeks and hopefully the Silver Prius will be back on the road, that will be Margaret's parts getter and dog to the park car, the Fairmont is probably redundant now, but it has been very handy on so many occasions, cost us nothing and is the workhorse when a bigger vehicle that can tow a heavy trailer is required.BernieQ2 wrote: βSat Feb 15, 2025 5:48 am Good morning.

This is the first "NEW" car either of us have ever owned, we decided to bite the bullet and buy it .....

Good morning everyone.
We had a storm last evening...hit at 7 pm stopped at 7.25 and 20 mm in the gauge...I think we were ground zero, lightning and thunder only Millie second's apart..
I went to Murgon with neighbour and picked up the royal Enfield...it's now in his shed...pic at bottom... that was it for the day, Carol cleaned up her little hedge at the front of the house...
I have no real plans for today...I'll just wing it
But first...it's bacon and eggs day
.
Keep safe everyone.
