Good morning daily

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Morning folks.
We missed all the rain ☔ yesterday... just a few scuds.
And nothing of importance achieved.

I don't know what is planned for today yet... cept for some gardening... tomatoes are finally ripening, I'm bringing them in just when they are half coloured... trying to beat the caterpillars...
Keep safe.

Morning all.

tappets done, reassembled. Curiously, I'm seeing a vacuum needle dip on the boost/vacuum gauge when I blip the throttle. I can't recall seeing that before.

Disconnected the manifold pipe at the inter cooler outlet and it's still there. hmm, starting to wonder if I left a rag in a pipe. grrrrr.

trying to beat the caterpillars...
steady as she goes, Bernie. Slowing up as you age is a pain.

Good morning All. 7* here in Manchester at 9:15pm with a minimum of 3* forecast overnight.
We are enjoying our time with our daughter Leonie when she is not at work. Her partner, Dylan has flown to Aus to spend a little time with his mother in Newcastle.

Enjoy whatever you lot are doing.

A very long day yesterday. Margaret rang to as me to bring in her crutches and moon boots as they had scheduled physio for her, and a laundry list of other things including cheese and cracker snacks from Aldi etc

For some reason, Goole decided there was a different way to get to the Flinders Hospital car park, and got me completely lost in the maze of Flinders reconstruction ...... the place is huge, a major university that covers all the subjects and depts, not just medical ....then throw in a private hospital and medical clinics as well as the public one and all the things that go with that ..... and it's a work zone .....

Lost an hr in getting unlost, that made me late for the physio ..... but amazingly, she worked around it and still got the appointment in ..... then dropped the bombshell, Margaret was right to go home  Organising all the different depts that were handling her case to get their sign off and instructions, the pharmacy for all scheduled drugs an the signing off for all of those, then 2 trips to get all the stuff back to the car before getting Margaret, in her moon boot and one her chariot ..... then the trip to the car ..... Margaret hasn't walked on that foot or had anything on it besides dressings, for about 8mths, so attempting to walk out through the maze of corridors was quite an event ..... within spitting distance of the front door, phone call, she has to go back, missed a special drug and the signing event, back to the ward on the 6th floor clear over the other side of this massive hospital complex, then head back to the car ...... needless to say, the second trip was lot more stressful, painful and exhausting than the first.
By the time I'd settled her outside the doors and got the car from the carpark to the new hospital entrance, it was late and she wasn't handling it well.

A few more pain killers and a few short sleeps on the way home and she was a lot better .... and I was exhausted, two pieces of rasin toast and not even a coffee for the whole day .... I thought my head would explode by the time I had Margaret settled in the Winnie .... I needed a nap

In the middle of all this, before I knew Margaret was coming home, I received a phone call regarding bringing my eye exam forward to 10 am today ..... a second early morning get up and drive in peak hr traffic to get to the Royal in the middle of the city ....... just too much for an old bloke, so I won't be making it to the appointment, just have to wait for the telephones to have people to answer them at the Royal to tell them I'll be a no show, then back to bed to nurse this headache ......

I was thinking the same Bernie, should of asked for a wheel chair if one was not offered, last time Bruce was in Belmont hospital unwell, young male nurse who had just finished his shift, told Bruce wait I’ll get you a wheel chair, told me to bring the car to the entrance, he wheeled Bruce out, helped him into the car & wished him speedy recovery & was off home himself, we thanked him for his help & caring attitude.✅✅✅

I think it was probably the physio's doing, making her use the foot .... it's a wonder they didn't make her use the crutches, but I had already taken them to the car so that might have been for that. We both could have insisted on one, but I think Margaret understood the importance of getting out of there under her own steam .... and I think she is the better for it today.
To get whatever it was, to drain out of the wound area, and for her to get back to walking again, a lot of actually walking is going to be required ...... I very much doubt she will be walking unaided by Taggerty, but hopefully by the end of the yr ...... yet to see if this is the turning point or not ....
Finders Hospital is not like most hospitals, they take very cutting edge approaches to the whole science of it, an off shoot of being part of the university I guess, but they the ones who have shown results ..... so at the moment, I'm all for the methodology, it seems to be working .....

Good morning.
Rained all the way to maryborough yesterday and back
Just light with the wipers on auto...
Spent to much... Carol did 😁... all I bought was oil and filter for the motorhome...
I may be going back to maryborough today to see my mate in hospital...
I'll check the gauge for how much rain we got later when it's light enough...
Have you been getting wet down on the granite belt Dave
Keep safe.
Bernie.
9 mm in the gauge
