Good morning daily

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

It left you with a tin of paint that gets left out in the sun until a good % of the water evaporates. ( just stir it a bit every now and then )
Bin there ,,dun that.
Thanks Noggins, I think it ended up back in the 15 ltrs of way too thick paint and it will get mixed in when I get a chance to have another crack at painting these containers ....

I was hoping to get at least a coat on them before the council gets narky, but the Winnie rego is Tuesday next week and a min of a day's travel in the Winnie, but would feel better if we reached Balranald CP Monday so I could drive to the inspection place Tuesday and have a base to do any minor repairs that might be picked in the inspection ....

So, play will have to be postponed on the containers and play resumed on the Winnie .... need to find a fan motor for an EF/EL 6 cyl, one of the fans has a crook brg in the motor, water must have got in there somehow ..... if I can't find a motor for it, I'll refit the radiator less one fan and motor so it will still have 3 fans to keep it cool ..... I believe I'll be able to remove the fan assemblies without removing the radiator etc due to all the room that will be available without the hydrostatic fan and monster shroud being between the radiator and engine ....

Ron, I like that tip about leaving the over thinned tin in the sun.
Except, turps was added to a water based paint. Somehow, the turps needs to be boiled off.

In the Certificate for Automotive Spray Painting from NSW TAFE, did they teach how to boil of turps? Maybe, that theory could be applied?
You didn't read the above post properly Jon, the paint simply remained under the turps, so I poured the turps off again

Sorry Terry,

I can't keep up with everything. It's getting all confusing now. .... So...
play will have to be postponed on the containers and play resumed on the Winnie .... need to find a fan motor for an EF/EL 6 cyl, one of the fans has a crook brg in the motor, water must have got in there somehow .
how did the water from the paint get in the radiator fan motor and it's stopped working?
