Good morning daily

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

I have spent the morning doing the washing of bedding, 2 lots, one lot is dry and folded, waiting for the 2nd lot to dry while some clothing is in the washing machine for another 40 minutes before I have to hang those out to dry.

I received a letter from Road Transport advising that I have to have my 80yo Medium Rigid driving test by May 13 so I need to organise it prior to my Taggerty visit.

Let's hope you haven't picked up too many bad habits over the yr, I know a lot of people fail their first attempt at the 80yr test because they either got their licence from the local country cop or learned so many bad habits, they had their heavy vehicle licence suspended until they could pass the test .... a few ended up back to a car licence .....

George will it help if I put the forum back 12 months?
I know how you feel because I'm going to face even worse now shortly. Do I do an overnighter to go get an SA Dr to fill out my form or do I change everything over to Qld? mmmmm

Fly over, we'll pick you up, take you to the doctor, take you back to the airport and you can fly home 8-)

Why what a wonderful gesture indeed.
In reality I do know my safe driving days are numbered. I'd love to keep my license 'just in case' similar to Brian. (Homeless)
I spent enough time driving the highways to know when people are a danger to others & shouldn't be out n about.
That was the biggest reason why I took the back roads up through Bourke etc instead of the Newell Highway when I did both trips up here.
In the meantime I'm setting myself up to be semi independent but have help when needed.
More info at a later date.
Nebo has a very good group of people that can be relied on if & when needed.

What would be worse is if a doctor decides your physically unfit to drive.... then you can't even plan for that.

I'm not sure how it works in other states but a couple of years ago in SA they made the Dr partly responsible for any accident if (in their opinion) the License Rego mob weren't informed of any illness or other reason deemed .....
My Dr apologised to me when he told them about my diabetes. I had hid it from them for quite a few years.

I know this is going to be hard to believe, but it's raining in Mannum, only light sprinkle rain.
The three cornered jack runner weeds will love it and provide an afternoon's entertainment pull them out, to make room for the next lot .....
