Shonky,
I won't pencil it into the diary until you advise of a date...
Be glad to see you, though. I think I came across you at Boonah while campaigning for Keith M...

BernieQ,
Joy & I have a similar deal: generally, she cooks; I enjoy. In return, I always do the clean-up... both OTR (when it's all hand-washed) and at home, where the dishwasher is gainfully employed for most of the dishes. :)

Dottie & T1,
I 'work under direction' when requested to assist with dinner prep.
The only exception is when we light up the Weber Baby Q. Then I am my own master, although I will listen to 'suggestions.' ;)

The Mad Lab (Paddy) pulled Joy over during walkies this afternoon... spotted another dog he didn't think he knew, and lunged! (He did, it belongs to a neighbour; didn't recognise it or him. :? Maybe Paddy needs glasses :?:   )
Caught Joy off-guard and pulled her flat, broke loose and took off trailing the lead. Injured two of Joy's fingers in the fall, but I don't think they're broken.
Paddy goes psycho if he sees a strange dog, particularly if it's on a lead. Must have had some decent sort of trauma before we got him from the rescue service. He just wants to play, but apparently believes no dog should be on a lead. Jumps all over them, barking like a demon. We've had him now for six years and tried all sorts of training, reward/punishment regimes, even tranquillisers, to no avail. He's nearly nine. 'Normal' Labs settle down by that age!
Regards & God bless,
Ray

GOOD NEWS!

The surgeon has given me the all-clear.

It appears the surgery was a lot easier than she expected. Tumour 'popped out' without any tentacles/attachment to organs or nerves etc.

This means I am once again allowed to mess about with wood (provided I wash the incision after).

It also means that the yard is once again open for visitors.
Regards & God bless,

That's great Ray. Was it on your thyroid?

I just had a complete tyroidectomy for a 5cm* lump. Saw the surgeon 4/4/14 and given the same all clear news, but now on meds for life.

I'll send a PM.

dawg (*5cm = 50mm = tow ball :o :o )
Experience is a wonderful thing. It helps you recognise a mistake when repeated.

Dawg,
The tumour was under the left side of my jaw, apparently not attached to anything (which is good).
CAT scan said it was 3cm x 2cm.
No pathology report available yet...
When I first noticed it, it would have been about the size of my thumb to the first joint. That was about 18~20 months ago.

I reckon he's still lost somewhere in the vineyard. Not seen hide nor hair of either of them!
