Had our Council-sponsored gardener here for our designated hour’s work around the house yesterday.
Asked him to dig a hole big enough to plant a tree.
He said a hole that big would take two hours... so he only dug half a hole.

Council- sponsored gardener Ray? Lucky you, we even have Tidy Towns volunteers gardening & cleaning up council areas.

It might have been easier to get a used one from the demolition yard. Those pre-dug holes can save a lot of work.

HEY! Never thought of that!
Although a used hole could be worn thin in places... might need some patching before I could use it...

The council-sponsored gardener (1hr/mth) is eventually funded by Fed Govt. I have a ‘Blue Sticker’ for our car... you know, with a stick figure in a wheelchair.

Ok Ray, guess if the 1hr a month gardener is Federally funded it would be available Australia wide, never heard of it around this area, many who qualify get financial help with lawn mowing.

Getting one the correct shape and dimensions could also be a problem, but at least they would be light weight
