So I would read it.
Nothing against you I don't read long post's...I probably would agree with you.
If I read it.
Sorry.
Bernie.
Sorry Bernie, being uneducated means I have trouble expressing in the written word, so my posts can become convoluted at times. Even had to look up convoluted to see if it fitted and still not sure. :?

Yes, NP,
Your post was convoluted, but your ideas were clearly expressed. Good work!
If it were intended for newspaper publication, as a subeditor I would have edited out about 30% of the words without losing your ideas.
As it was not, I’m happy to leave it untouched. 😀
You’re only using recyclable pixels...

Precisely. The forum was my Australian extended family, both when at home & when on the road. It's why I fought so hard to keep it from being taken.

Now I can only look back & consider how lucky I was to have had what I had whilst I did.

Newer members would have no idea of what is no more.

Agree definitely Cuppa, always remember telling you that you could take the route over Barrington Tops en route home when you bought the 4x4, believe the western side is all bitumen now that was many years ago. :D

Shirley wrote: Sat Aug 15, 2020 11:46 pm Think when I first joined the forum, it felt like a family, ... Yes it's definitely not the club that we joined.
A few years after my year in hospital, I spent two consecutive winters at the original concept site in Northern NSW. I must have spent in excess of 100 hours doing volunteer work to improve the place, as well as sponsoring two trees. Helped out with specialised IT/AV/Event knowledge at a series of presentations, too.
Then the Board sold it to one of its own...
We visited the site a few years later just to have a squiz. Plaques at both trees were being used as bases for potplants, and the permanent residents referred to the visiting m/homers area as "the caravan park."
Original concept was completely gone. And I was censured for calling it "just another caravan park" on their forum.

Edit: Interestingly, I received a "You are forbidden to view this page." message when I mentioned the aforementioned Northern NSW site by name, and same again until I also removed a reference to a CP in the region with the town name and a large '4' in its name. (Replaced them with the words in italics.) ;)

Know Barry, we went to Boulia with him on the tag along, he was a regular on the original forum, always ready to help, haven't met the other two but probably know them by name only, good photo :D
