Kerosene is good.
ChrisR is still probably hiding. I know a few who might like to have a chat with him!
Ask Martin.... I think he had some dealings with him on his maiden trip in his new/old motorhome. (Broken spring?)

You can use WD-40 to remove tar from the car.
In the old days we used ordinary peanut paste -the smooth type not the one with nuts and lumps in it, and then a wash with car wash to remove the peanut paste.

Kero for the tar as already said. Butter also worked, or at least it did when I was a kid.
Chris R is in broken Hill, he gave us a bit of a tour around the area, which we were grateful for given that otherwise we were immobile.
You could try the pm on carvaners forum., or i can passone on if you wish....

Dot, we use a product called "bug and tar remover" . I think it's a sellys product, but you get it from places like repco and it works a treat. Especially when the roadie gets the job!!!

Hi guys, back on the air waves for a few minutes, refuelled and are heading out of town (BH) ChrisR came a knockin this morning so all caught up.:) A tad warm here but still a nice breeze. Got the bug stuff from Sprint "Bug & Tar Remover" took the gman some elbow grease but good enough for now.. Peanut paste!!!!! I would have let the cows lick it off Tanks :) Catch up later if have coverage C U xx
