You know those real expensive solar screens that are made in Qld and charge like a wounded bull on steroids and also sell the material (7 layers) for $100pr mt at the shows? well I know where they get it from (they won't tell you) so who here has the brains to get a shipping agent and if we had enough interest we could get it for ourselves at the right price? It comes in a 30mt roll. For our windscreen the mob in Qld quoted $850

Dot I don't know what solar screens you're referring to. Can you explain a bit more?
Is it just for the front windscreen?
Are you referring to security screens you put up when parked up?
The pretty shiny reflective ones?

The ones that are made in Qld by Solarscreen, they are the silver quilted ones stick on the inside of windows (suction caps) made from the 7 layers of materials, you send them a template of your windows and they make them up... Advertise in the Wanderer page 127 of this mths mag.. Haven't been able to find the same stuff even from all the insulation companies here in Oz.. This stuff is from Italy .

Made my solar screens from cheapness from cheap as shit shot, cut them to shape and stuck them on with SA Velcro. Cost $20, whose said I was a cheap bastard?

We made ours out of the silver bubble stuff from Bunnings. Need to make another set now, but will do it for ALL the windows and hatches. huge difference. Not sure how much the 7 layer stuff would be, but I reckon this stuff double layered would be fine Never thought of using the velcro!!

We might be interested in a set for the Cruiser... depending on the final cost... but who's gunna make 'em up?
