I thought the totes at CMCA camps were only for folk to use to empty their grey water tanks into & wheel to the dump point??

I think these things will be well policed by these caretakers so there is little risk of the system being abused.... I think someone might have a bee in their bonnet regarding this latest step forward by the CMCA and LNT in generalShirley wrote:I thought the totes at CMCA camps were only for folk to use to empty their grey water tanks into & wheel to the dump point??

A person may fail many times, they only become a failure when they blame someone else John Burrows

The Dec 7th council meeting should bring results Terry- hopefully! The mayor said he would post on his personal blog the outcome so hope he sticks to his word. It is a closed meeting.

CMCA is delighted to announce the opening of our first RV Park at Ingham, North Queensland. This adds another member-exclusive benefit to our range of existing RV accommodation options.
RV Park – Ingham provides a low-cost, no-frills accommodation site to members whose vehicles meet the requirements of the CMCA Self Contained Vehicle (SCV) Policy. The park has been developed in response to the growing need for basic accommodation for self-contained vehicles, and provides members with access to a secure place to park, potable water and dump points to offload black and grey water. RV Park - Ingham is a managed accommodation facility, with Helen Hobson as our first fully trained volunteer custodian. Helen will live on site to oversee the day-to-day activities and to implement park rules.
Custodian training is essential for this project and members who undertake this course will be suitably qualified to look after our RV Parks. The club is committed to providing many more RV parks throughout Australia and training courses for interested members will be conducted when required.
Up to 50 vehicles can be accommodated at Ingham and the park has the potential to generate more than $1 million in tourism spend for the local community. CMCA has leased the property from the Hinchinbrook Shire Council and has spent more than $60,000 within the local community; installing a shelter shed, fencing, a dump point, sealed driveway and the planting of more than 140 trees. RV Park - Ingham can close at short notice between December and March due to the wet season so if you are travelling to Ingham, just call NHQ to confirm that it is currently open.
We hope you get to experience this new member-exclusive benefit for yourself.

Bundaberg Regional Council
Bundaberg Regional Council Thanks Joceyln for your enquiry. Council did receive a presentation from the Queensland State Representative of CMCA last Monday as part of our regular consultation days, at which members of the community are welcome to bring ideas and presentations to the attention of the full Council. The representative outlined the concept of Freedom Parks whereby a small number are now being established or considered in Queensland for exclusive use of CMCA members. The RV Friendly Town program was also discussed. The representative agreed on the day to take the information he had gleaned from his meeting with Council and proposes to write to Council in the New Year with some ideas and thoughts for further consideration. Thanks
