It would have been a laugh if we still had Putin Tat .... after the first time and repairing the claw marks in the ceiling, he wouldn't be able to help himself and have to try to catch the water before it got him.
When we had the pet watering fountain that was activated by a light beam, he would stick his head in just to make it run, then walk away satisfied, but he would get up on the side of the vanity and watch with fascination when the water came out of the tap, but didn't get any deeper in the wash bowl ..... if you put the plug in the sink, he lost interest
If we left the tap on a slow drip, he would spend quite a bit of time (for a cat anyway) trying to predict when the drop would fall and try to catch it. We knew he wanted the water changed in his drinking bowls, including the one in his cat run, when he jumped up on the vanity and put his paw in the water as it came out of the tap, then lick his paw, then look up into your eyes and say weow? with the raised tone at the end to indicate it was a question ...
I sure miss that cat
