Shocking Shock Absorbers ??who can get??

Have been on the net and ph for an hr or more looking for these things and Or a rebuild place I give up... On the old ones that had to be put back in because wrong ones were sent..

Those details you posted........ is that the front 2 & then the back 2?
So are the rear dif to the front?
There would almost certainly be alternatives that would fit but you'd need a lot of details to match them.
Stretched length?
Closed length?
Type of top connection?
Type of bottom connection?

Are you positive all 4 need replacing?
You CAN use a vehicle without any at all if need be........ (I didn't say that T1!)

I understand with Monroe if you give them the specs of your current shock or the Brand/model of your current shock, by checking the specification they may find another shock for another vehicle that fits yours. Happened for me.

Some shock absorbers can be rebuilt and some can't. The more expensive one's usually can. Shock absorbers are rarely vehicle specific. They conform to a variety of standard sizes so it is most likely you can replace them easily and fairly cheaply. You need to know the various specifications though. Can your mechanic who failed give you correct shockers give you specs or part numbers of the correct shockers that weren't delivered? Or was it his fault that the wrong ones were delivered?

Those numbers that I posted were on the ones that were taken out and that is what the mechanic quoted when he ordered new ones but the new ones weren't the right ones.. I have sent emails and phoned places like Powerdown and 2 other suspension places in Adelaide, given then those specs and they will get back to me yeah right... same old story... shall keep on trying Boss i have no idea which are front back or sideways right now,, As long as the old ones hold out while we travel to Vic then I'm happy Anyone ever had your old ones re done and by whom??

Dot they'll be OK for the trip & most likely see you out as well.
It's not like you're doing over nighters with a bus load of paying passengers!!!
Without them you can imagine you're floating down the highway in an old twin spinner Ford Customline!!!

Have just fired off an email to the CEO of Daimler whom own Fuso telling him I can't get any help here in Aust or Japan so here's hoping.. Just another case of bugger off can't be bothered. By the way those business's haven't replied yet Do i really expect them to nah silly me for thinking they would, dreams are free

We did well with Peddars, the spring bloke in broken hill was going to organiae us new shockies, until he looked at them and reckoned they were too good to replace. Take them to a suspension place and they will sort. It just a case of measuring and matching. You wont hear back from anyone today, its Easter!

Bite tongues, actually got an email back from Powerdown this evening and they have the right ones so will see after Easter, now I am happy again. as usual thanks you lot xx
