I seem to remember there was an issue with the vent covers not allowing sufficient air flow into the burner of the newer units. Can anyone confirm this please?

Re: Suburban HWS cycling on and off
Craig on mine there is a circlip like piece of tin around where the flame throws into the tube that can be twisted around to increase/reduce air (oxygen?) flow.

Re: Suburban HWS cycling on and off
Thanks Bruce, but I think the problem is more to do with the new shape of cover. It is more closed in than the older style and it has a baffle in the lower section where the intake is. This on on a mates caravan. I noticed it having trouble lighting yesterday and when it did, it only run for 30 seconds or so then stopped and tried to re-light. When I opened the cover I could hear the flame noise increase and it ran with no problem. Then I vaguely remembered a thread on one of the forums talking about this issue. I was hoping someone could shed some light.
