Don't forget, we want up date posts to tell us how your travels are going and what the places are like where you stop. for those of us still stuck in suburbia, those on the road are our eyes and ears, so we really do enjoy seeing all the places you've been.

Re: On The Road
We left home in the evening to miss the commuter traffic through Melbourne. Drove 220ks to the Vic Roads rest area named Calder Woodburn, which is quite close to Shepparton, a good spot to spend the night and an easy starting place for the next day. We headed for the Kidman Way, stopping frequently coffee breaks etc., just heading north with no particular plan in mind. When we neared Griffiths, we remembered a very short stop we made a few years ago at Lake Cargelligo and decided to head there for a few days. Lucky for us the rain stopped as we arrived at the Caravan Park where we booked in for 4 nights - pay for 3 at $22 a night and the 4th night is free. There is free camping beside the Lake which looks good but as it is really cold at night we have the luxury of power. We don't have a dish for TV reception so only get digital Channel 7, 72 & 73 and it's not all that good some of the time, but we have books to read at night so that's OK. We can see the Lake from the park and the town is laid back with 2 supermarkets and 2 pubs and a good Information Centre that houses a Stone Butterfly collection made of gem stones. I'm hoping that I've attached 3 photos here, if not help would be appreciated. Regards Barb and Dave

Re: On The Road
Good luck on the road. I read an article just recently on the highlights of the Kidman Way.
You might just have solved a problem for Dot. She couldn't watch Mrs. Brown's Boys the other night because she couldn't get Channel 7. All she has to do is whip up to where you are and she'll be right.
