It did today !!!

The weekend before we left Adelaide - 1-2 June - Woolies had a special... 30c/L off if you spend $200 or more.

Well, the timing was simply perfect coz on the Saturday we did our big shopping to stock the van for the current leg of our journey ... & today we used that docket!

Filled the LC today... 125.56L @ $1:49.9 = $188:21.

Our discount - including a couple of Magnum ice creams - tonight's desert - was $42:69.

Now that was a good result...

EDIT: Oops...made a boo-boo Obtained this particular discount on Saturday 1 June - not March, just prior to us leaving Adelaide for this leg of our trip. The discounts are only valid for a month!

We managed to get a 25 cent one and used it at Albury on the easter trip, have had a few 15 cent ones, but never a 30 cent one, how did you manage to swing that?

Terry, If you hold a Woolies 'Everyday Rewards Card' then you'll get a notification on their website when these 'specials' are available. From what I understand - the Navigator handles it - you need to 'activate' the offer on the pooter. Then when you next shop within the specified time frame - this one was just 2 days - to the required level of expenditure,which generally isn't too much of a problem whilst travelling & use the card on payment then the super discount can de utilised a couple of days later ... or up to a month from date of the purchase.

These larger discounts aren't always advertised in the media or shops... strictly for card holders. We've missed out on numerous offers because we don't check regularly.

Gawd, that sounds like we do our entire shopping at 'W'... not so. But it is nice when there is a big discount sitting in your pocket & you need to fill the 138L tank of the Cruiser.

We get our special offers via email, but never a 30 cent one they keep making silly offers like double points if you buy so much from what ever dept this week, we will never use Qantas frequent flyer points, we don't fly anywhere the furthest overseas I've been is Tasmania, and we went there by boat

You are so right Terry. Our caravan wont fit in with our suitcases on a plane, so we aint flying on their frequent fryer points either.
