, the weather is fabulous (don't forget we come from Melbourne) mid 20s during the day and high teens at night absolutely lovely 
The photos are views from Castle Rock looking around Townsville with Magnetic Island across the Coral Sea. In the first photo you can see the V8 Super Car circuit going in for the Townsville 400 in two weeks time and the "navigator" is trying to look like she is interested. 
We are currently stopping at the polo cross club until the Dam Fine Rally then will slowly (detours permitting
) make our way to Mareeba and then on to Cooktown. Yes Dot, Norman, Bruce, and Dee etc we had many unplanned detours getting to here 
, who knows what's to come, one things for sure, we definately don't
