Moorook

Post by BruceS »

The dump point at Moorook is a new installation that really needs the SA rep to look at and advise future installations to be up to a certain standard.
The dump point sign is not readily visible to the passing traffic. (note in one photo)
BIG MH's need to park on the footpath & unless pumped would be slow going.
From inside position it is uphill. It's, ofcourse good for cassette's !!! :( :(
Guess I'm being a little cruel as it is provided free?? ;) ;)

I think we would be ok with that one even in the big bus. I think anyone with black tanks should really have a pump out, there are always going to be sites where the dump point needs to be up off the ground in case of flooding.

I've given up planning that sort of thing Dottie, every time I think things are close to finishing so I can plan out the future steps they move the goal posts again, so I'm just taking it one day at a time now

Haven't needed a pump so far. I do however have a tote tank for any dumps that are impossible to get into or if we are camped up somewhere and don't want to move the MH.

Those photos really don't show the ground levels very well.
From the inside there is quite a slope that goes right down to the River.
On the road side there is a 'trench' along the side of the actual road with it sloping quite steep up the footpath. Probably about 15 degrees I'd say.
So both sides slope away from it.
To top it off they've installed a sign to make it really difficult for a big bus with a toad to get in close anyway.
I think the specs say it should be accessible with a 3 metre hose .......... no way!!!

The council have installed it overtop of the existing septic tank so maybe that explains it?
Very good, cheap camp spot though although a few trucks use that road.
