I am not sure if you know what has been happening in Nyngan over the past week or so, Nyngan withdrew from the RV friendly town program due to the pressure of the 2 local caravan parks, but because of the back lash from travellers and a lot of the local business who were apparently not consulted about this decision, today it went back to council and has been over turned, a little victory for us all.
"""Wendy Clissold, Outback Country Crafts, has reported to ATFCC group, that NYNGAN is again a RV FRIENDLY TOWN,
free camping at the Shearing shed museum on Nymagee St 24 hour parking which is the highway coming into Nyngan from Dubbo""""
Cheers Ros.

Re: Nyngan...
Thanks Ros. Good news indeed.
Sometimes the lazy ones don't react until they get a whack in the hip pocket.
I spent some time on the Kingston Tourism organisation & just getting businesses to pay their very small subs was like extracting a tooth out of Dot's mouth. When asked why they didn't see any benefit the usual reply was "the others can bring the tourists to town for us".
I think it's called apathy?
I think a campaign for return to free camping at Mannum might also work too.

I shall have you know no teeth were extracted but a digit was from the receptionist
Good ol Al aka Wanderer also got the Murtoa council to have a free park right next to their caravan park, they saw the benefits and we all benefit.
