Continuing on to Augusta, with a stop at Alexandra Bridge (Camps6 #287), view the Cape and Lighthouse, then up to Conto Beach for a couple of days. More forests - the karri forests are spectacular! Then a quick look at Margaret River, certainly an interesting town, and from there to Potters Gorge for a couple of nights in the jarrah forests. I intended stopping next at Martins Tank Lake (# 139) but it was closed for maintenance so I went to Heron Point (#262) - which now charges year around, rather than just from Nov to Apr, as stated in Camps6 - and while a pleasant setting, not really strong on facilities for the price, IMHO. The next day - Perth! Nice to be in a family situation again, not to mention all the mod cons!
From here it is on to Karijini, but not before relatives arrive from Scotland and my daughter from Hobart!
