The dump point in Naracoorte has recently been moved from the side of Smith St to inside the gate of the Show Grounds. The facility is immediately to the left once inside the grounds. It may not be Big Rig friendly. I suggest you survey the site first.

Re: Naracoorte
Looks like there would be enough room to get a big rig in, but is there enough room to turn around or drive through to get back out?

Are the showground gates open all the time?

Re: Naracoorte
It would really depend on the driver's ability.
It also would depend if one side in particular needs to be facing the dump point. Can most big rigs discharge both sides or not?
If it was me I would drive in & back up past the dump point.
It is the old trotting track & it is possible to follow the rubble track all the way around. (Dot?)
EDIT: Dot I've never seen the gates closed.

Re: Naracoorte
I don't need any dump point but I reckon if I can turn in out back yard then that place would be ok, but then I might like to go for a spin around the old track as well.

Re: Naracoorte
I think most big rigs would be able to dump from either side if they had black tanks (well our's will) but most commonly from the left, so a spin around the short track would do it

Re: Naracoorte
We discharge Black Water from the LHS. It is not practical to discharge from the other side. (imagine opening the tap on the LHS, walk around to find the hose has fallen out of the recepticle on the RHS, yuk!) That DP would not be suitable for anything over 12.5 metres, the legal single length for a motorhome, and although possible to drag a trailer or toad past the DP, I would not recommend it. 5th WheelerTrailers should have no problem however.

Re: Naracoorte
You could park on the road Jon, and pass your hose under the gate.

I would rather go for a drive around the track, just hope I don't run into Dot coming the other direction
