Annoying people...

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Annoying people...

Post by Chuck »

Hmm... had a couple of not so good days here due to the bloody stupidity - or lack of thought - of some people.

1. Couple pull in next to the camp fire pit, chirpy but loud 'little' bloke whilst she was pleasant. He had the annoying habit of butting into every conversation with loud responses followed by a guffawing laugh as though everything he said was outrageously funny. It wasn't. Fortunately they were only here for 2 days!

2. Yesterday another couple arrive with 2 x Belgian Shepherd's, beautiful dogs ... unfortunately the woman did not take after her dogs. Sitting around the campfire & the smaller, younger female dog - bitch doesn't seem quite appropriate for such a lovely looking dog but could well suit the female owner. But I digress ... The young dog started to bark at something in the nearby bush & after about 5 minutes of this intermittent barking I asked the lady if she could stop the dog barking. Her response was "NO" I then asked her if she meant NO she wouldn't or NO she couldn't. She responded by saying the dog was only a year old. Huh? A short time later 3 young girls riding their bikes around the park then rode down beside the fire pit towards the bush area... well the young dog went right off whilst the woman ignored it. Again I & some others asked her to restrain the dog to which she gave a half hearted pull on the lead but didn't tell the dog to be quiet. About ten minutes later the children returned & whilst the 2 eldest simply rode by, the youngest just stopped & stared at the young dog which was going right off again & straining at the lead. This time around half of the ten people in the area told the woman to shut the dog up & she then yanked the dog back which allowed the young child to run by pushing her bike. She then jumped up & stormed off telling her husband - who was sitting alongside her with the very quite older dog - "that she was not going to stay there & listen to these bloody people any longer."

From my perspective a dog is never too young to start training & as this particular dog was a year old it should have been sufficiently trained by that stage to respond to a verbal command, the fact that it wasn't reflects badly on the woman's lack of ability.

When the young girl just stood staring at the dog whilst it strained at the lead & barking loudly at the girl with no response from the woman until we spoke up", then she then turned to the girl & said "She won't bite!" but did not shut the dog up or stop it straining on the lead. The child would not have known whether to believe the woman or not... she still looked very concerned!

Well trained dogs are always a delight to watch, especially with young children.

Well, the little loud bloke has left but the couple with the 'untrained' dog are still here... sigh.

Ok, my rant is over - bring out the knives!

What knives where is the steak? you are right Chuck all dogs at that age should know 99% of what is expected by the "owners" voice tone and commands. Trouble is the wanker people that have dogs.. Better off to tell the woman to "you know" and retire to your van till she has gone.. Anyway you have been very quiet lately. WHY? Was beginning to think you didn't love me any more :( Currently G is down the street in Gunnedah, he wouldn't let me go as he reckons I am too slow  :?: wonder which way he meant that :?:  as long as he brings some nice lollies back I shall be pleased...

Gee Chuck, I would have thought between you and Phil you could have sorted her out. You must be losing your touch! Your example is just one of the reasons we try to avoid caravan parks but Goomalling is certainly a good one. Just goes to show you can pick your friends but you are stuck with your neighbours. Here at Standown Park we took an unpowered site and have been out in the middle of a lovely grassy area with no van closer than 100 meters. Bliss!
Cheers

Shining example Dot of people that should not be allowed to own a dog. Why is it that idiots like this woman can't see the dog is a bloody nuisance. Talk about thick skin/headed. We have a neighbor here with a kelpie, bloody nut case the both of them. Reckons its alright for the dog to shit and piss where it likes and regards it as the dog just staking out its territory. Trouble is this is on everyone else's yard even into their house. Marvelous what a wet crap in the letter box does for neighbor relations....Lol.

I don't have any annoying people in the bus right now but there is a big blowfly that the little fella is chasing with the fly swat, now that might get to be annoying

Is the blow fly male or female ;)
