The things you do on a wet day..

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Well done Ros you kept away from the iron for a while. How on earth did you get those beads going in all different directions? :?

Wow, that is really lovely, Ros! Not something I would wear as I am not very girly but I can see lots of ladies loving it.
Cheers

Ros, your work is so lovely. I can agree with you that the working together of wire and beads is very therapeutic. Until I learnt about glass, beading was my way of escaping into a quiet place, but I didn't like wearing it either. So now the hot glass is calling, it's yet another way to spend a cold afternoon.

Deborah I was recently at a place in Morgan that was like a historical museum / tourist / memorabilia outlet and they had hundreds of those little items that looked like glass laid over colourful patterns and even a few over scenery.
I asked the lady if they were made locally and was informed that a local lady makes them. (her friend)
Yes, they were all made with resin, not glass.
She mentioned the temperature of the glass would destroy most colours & patterns.
A relative of mine some years ago made the complete top of his bar in resin & embedded almost every known brand of bottle top in it. Anyone would swear it was real glass.
PS. I agree that the necklace sure is a work of art!!! Can't see Wendy wearing it but if she did I'd never lose sight of her!!!

We have a huge box full of beads stored....took the course, got keen, and then stopped. But we were planning to earn on the road by doing jewellery, .....then found that so many others are doing the same thing. Plus you can't make money ...thinking of the time it takes etc...I'd like to take it up again but the box is huge!

So..on a wet day...I practice playing my uke, Greg does crosswords, we read, I catch up with mail, I go off and take photos...great rain shots! Or we get on the road again! Anything else we do isn't for anyone to know

Not that there's been much rain where we've been!

Lovely necklace! Very pretty.

Cheers
Dee
