Rain, Rain & no bloody rain!

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Rain, Rain & no bloody rain!

Post by BruceS »

OK, recently we've had reports of desert, swamps and floods.

In the last 24 hours or so Yappoon, Qld has had half a metre of rain & some roads are closed.

Murray Bridge, SA has had twi light showers ... not enough to settle the (bull) dust around here!!

What's it been like where YOU are? (location please?)

Light rain yesterday here in Brisbane and now very steady rain since early this morning. A look at the weather radar shows a lot more to come. This is the first really good rain we have had for ages. Really happy that our slab was laid before the heavens opened.
Cheers

Here in Lake Illawarra ( the land of the continual rain storm ) we have had NOTHING but rain, sleet, rain and more of the same.
Trying to get panels on the trailer roof as well as fan and air scoops as well as doing things that require time out in the rain etc. is impossible
Anyone wanting some rain email Terry and he will organise for some to be sent your way.
Ground is all soggy and water laying everywhere. Every afternoon we have been getting thunderstorms and rain all night. So much for the bloody global warming and the prospects of big droughts. I think they were looking on the wrong mirror when they made their predictions. Bit like Bureau of Meteorology. they say it will be fine unless it rains to cover their ar*e every time.

If the rain keeps up, Lake Illawarra will have a new shore line and we'll have absolute water frontage, and sidage and backage as well  The ground is so soft and wet even the postie bike is digging into the front lawn. The mud slurry is now coming up through the grass as it's stepped on, too wet.

In Newcastle all we have had is some light drizzle, just enough to stop my Sean from mowing the lawn.
