No, he's not lost. I spoke with Eddie by phone only a few hours ago.
He arrived safely in Waipukurau (Hawkes Bay) and was immediately subjected to a reasonably severe earthquake. He reckoned that the Maori gods must have known he was there! He has checked out his MH purchase and hopes to be off in it soon. He's planning to get to the South Island for winter, so he can enjoy the snow.
I'm sure he'll be in touch here as soon as he gets under way.

We lost Eddie - you bloody wish!
Am having my first Kiwi beer - Monteath's Original Ale, not real bad.
Received the keys to the MH today. I'm pleased with it and at the price, it's a steal. The truck part is a '95 Mitsi L300 Cyclone - whoa!!! Never heart of a Mitsi Cyclone, but it goes pretty well considering only a 2L donk (petrol at $2.29 - scary). Has 182k on the clock.0 The house part, though smallish, is HEAPS bigger than0 my Delica!!! The bloke who flogged it to me couldn't help with getting the frudge or water heater going, I'll get them going en route.
Yep, had a talk with Bruce - the bugger's heading away from me FFS! I'll bloody catch him and Jan though. No=one gets away from TheBushRat.
