Hello all,
In the next couple of weeks I intend to take VP on a maiden run to check out all systems. Will leave the wife at home to avoid the "you spent all this time/money and there is a problem" tone, if there is a problem !
I will be heading north from Caboolture, maybe head inland from Cairns if I get that far, or Rocky even, and come back the inland way.
Suggested camping spots that may encompass this route would be much appreciated.
VP and the trailer are about 18 mtrs long, so definitely fit the big rigs category, so please think about this when making suggestions. While we can unhitch the trailer and move it with the Suzy, if it can be avoided it would be preferable.
Thanks in advance for your help.
William

I am not sure you need to go that far to test it without the Minister of Food, William.
You could do a great shakedown run for a long enough period within a few hundred K's, just vary the conditions as much as possible at each stop
Will you be alone or just sans "main squeeze"?
Parking might be an issue alone.......
GOOD LUCK and have fun (Jealous....

According to Her we will be doing a 200K there and back shake down trip when we finally get the old girl registered.
Much the same country David has just been thru.
Should take me around three days to get there or more?
Maybe one to get back.
Bernie.

Does this question suggest there might be a "secondary squeeze"?bagmaker wrote:Will you be alone or just sans "main squeeze"?

I think you are going to be looking at truck parking areas with a rig that long. Isn't the hwy in a state of confused rebuilding up that way at the moment, why not a trip south instead, just an idea.
