Making Gero RV friendly

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

It does make a good read. I did comment somewhere regarding it.
Only place I have been able to get water easily is ath the 440 service station, along with fuel

Looks like WA is really getting involved in the tourist scene going on this report. Hope more and more towns finally wake up to what they are missing out on and tell the caravan parks to get *#^&*#.

Sorry, didn't read the article past the heading (what a joke). Had a couple of days in hospital there and they were not happy about the motorhome in the parking lot in the back up the hill and out of the way. Ended up staying with heaps of others at the 440 when I got out waiting for the test results.

So raspberries to you Gerry.

Experience is a wonderful thing. It helps you recognise a mistake when repeated.

One of the problems with Gero is that a lot of people that live here are very narrow minded and don't like the tourist bit and are always complaining about this and that. Personally I think making Geraldton a RV friendly place would be of great value and also there are a lot of things to see and do around here.
No mater where you go there will always be the whingers and we seem to have a lot here in town.
The back lash that has happened in the local media about the article is amazing so many people don't want it but then they whinge like hell that no one really stops here and that we don't have really any infrastructure here for the travellers ? hence the reason we put up an offer in the offers of parking section, which has worked out bloody well as we have had the opportunity to meet some lovely people whom both Glori and I will hopefully always keep in contact with.
Hopefully the new CEO of the city will try and get this on board as he seems to be for it but as always we have the caravan parks here that are against it so we will just have to wait and see and people wonder why WA is called Wait A While.
Oh well that's enough of my rant.

We would rather live with the knowledge that we lived part of our dream than none of it

Geraldton is a great spot, I am sure things are on the change, we avoid the van parks as they are too tight to manoevre around, and the last one we stopped at was more worried about bush and plant damage, plus was full of permanent residents. Wasnt as overpriced as Denham but close
