Canon camera lens

Post by BruceS »

I have a camera in my possession that is a pretty expensive looking unit.
I can get details later but it is a Canon, roll of film type, very little use (read, never used as my father never worked out how to use it), has 2 telephoto lenses that go onto it, various filters etc etc
I'm curious if these lenses are any good to fit on a digital camera or do I put them in the same bin as the camera?

The modern lenses are married to the electronics of the new cameras and even if you managed to get the older to fit, it would be my guess they would not autofocus.
Put the camera and lenses on eBin where collector nuts can enjoy.

Depending on the mount, they may fit a Canon digital SLR (but only with manual operation).
If the mount isn't right, it might be possible to change the mount.

Whether it is worth the effort would depend on the lenses.

I would check the asking prices for that model before troubling the landfill.
Asking prices and getting prices do tend to be vastly different.

haha........ I gathered that Brad! I'll dig it out of storage & get a few model numbers. They don't mean much to me I'm afraid.
