Yes, if you want to make a neat fit of all the components, a quiet intake and exhaust and a unit that doesn't have issues with puddling fuel in the exhaust... it ain't easy, but it's the only way you will get all the above boxes ticked. I am yet to see a well installed heat that was left to a commercial enterprise to deal with, they always take a short cut some where.

Its the wiring that is the major problem there seems to be connectors that are not used??
Is this so?

Each brand is different, some have the wiring for different thermostats all in the one harness, others use a single common harness and each thermostat has its own adapter harness. The all important thing is cable size, it must be heavy enough that the voltage drop is less than 3% during the start up or fouled igniters and no start result after a while.

Yes Bruce have that same manual just a lot smaller and hard to read.
On page 8 I don't have 23,33 or 34 so I'm thinking they are some of the spare connecters.
Plus I have two sets of wires without connecters but have spare [in bag] connecters I believe I should be using...but no info in manual?

Bernie,
I installed ours under our bed with the air intake hard up against the side of the bed support. Have more noise from the air intake than the exhaust, so I suggest having a metre of intake hose B4 and after the heater with the heater buried in a cupboard away from the bed if possible. To me its easier to put up with any noise while you are awake but in bed trying to sleep its more noticeable. Also suggest a large hole thru the floor than suggested. We do not have a Planar heater.

Peter
