Re: Bit deals
Price is about right. Ask how they are packed and how do they handle any damage in transit. Freight insurance?
You'd need a decent regulator for that many.

Re: Bit deals
Bit Deals are pretty good to deal with and the stuff they sell seems to be better quality than a lot of others. I've heard of a couple of panels damaged in transit that were replaced by them.
We've had four of their 125w panels running for about 4 years now with no problems. They are about half the price they were when we bought them

I have bought several times from bit-deals. These mono panels should be good. Note: Bit Deals will also do a deal if you want an extra discount, just ask.

Re: Bit deals
Wayne if you are adding these to an existing 'string' you may need to match the existing cells as close as you can.

Re: Bit deals
I'm not sure of the exact details but I've read several times that if you have 5 X 145w X 12v panels and you add an extra panel of 1 X 125w X 12v then all 6 panels will be restricted to the lowest number .... 125w.
Likewise if you have the initial 5 panels and the shade goes over just one panel then it'll effect all of them equally.
Terry is probably better qualified to answer this question!!

Re: Bit deals
Put up a link Wayne, the Vmp is all important as it must be 16v or higher for lithium batteries and 17v or higher for lead acid.
The issue with matching panels only refers to series string connection for MPPT controllers...... and I guess you already know my views on series string connection and cheap MPPT controllers
The value in switching to smaller panels is the reduced loss from shade effect. Areas that may have shade at some time during the day will still have full sun during other parts of the day so the total days energy harvest is better. Probably more useful with lithium batteries, but still an advantage when using lead acid batteries as well. Blocking diodes are not required in parallel panel installations, only with series string systems as the voltage from a shaded panel is still high enough to block the flow of current back into the panel. The controller provides the blocking at night to stop the battery discharging into the panels. You are better off removing the blocking diodes as each diode reduces the overall output from the panel, but only the blocking diodes, not the by pass diodes often found in larger panels
