Post by Keith Morris »

"tanks" here--
I just thought that you would like to know that Coles Supermarket have WEIS BARS on SPECIAL for one week starting 1st July, and the cost for a 4 pack is only $5.00
Stock up now for Xmas.
Keith
I'm now 87 years old, having experienced another birthday, and I'm still living in WA, single (gave up looking), white hair, no teeth, no money, no worries.
I plan to have another birthday next year.

Yeah, it's just a shame that Weis are Halal Certified and for that reason I do not patronise them. :(

Must admit I am not all that fussed on the ol Weis bar so that means more for Keith my weakness is for the Starburst chews.

Personally I prefer the taste of my halal veges. It must be difficult for the growers to slit the throats of the peas while they are facing Mecca.
I want to know how you make a Weis bar halal.

With stand over tactics. :(

This outfit, (http://www.halalchoices.com.au/) has a $5 app for android at google play store and fruit lovers at the apple itunes store or whatever it's called.
Just punch in the product (sometimes the brand) while shopping to check if it's haram and ok for infidel consumption.

Not paranoid enough to bother. Most meat sold in ais and nz is slaughtered halal style anyway and has been for years. Back to my halal bacon and eggs. ☺

Had a chicken and bacon something or other burger at Maccas in Liverpool on Tuesday and there was a sign on the door that said the premises were Halal certified  No pork products can be cooked on the premises to get a Halal certification, so who do they think they were fooling

Thats because theres no meat in the maccas products. They use vegetarian meat, its cheaper.

Well, at least the bovine used for the beef patties are vegetarian  Not quite sure how you go raising vegetarian pigs, but the fact that pork meat is on the premises at all defies the Halal code. Abattoirs that slaughter pigs can not be Halal
