CMCA Forum shut down for Xmas

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

CMCA Forum shut down for Xmas

Post by Jon and Kay »

Without notice, the CMCA Forum has been closed down. In the process they didn't even get the redirection address right.
What a nice Christmas gist for their Members :(

It is my opinion that the CMCA Forum , and GeoWiki are unlikely to meet the Members expectations.

It seems it's 'my way or the highway' with he and his wife. I do wonder how many will bother with CMCA in the New Year. You don't earn Members respect by dictatorial actions.

Also, a few posts, mine and Jon's included were deleted from a topic re GeoWiki, without explanation, PM, anything. :x
The only notice of the Forum holiday was via Facebook.

Some think there has been a 'change' in CMCA. However there has not. The same selfish decisions are being made by the same person. Enough said. I don't want Bruce to get any ideas about having a holiday here. :)

I think that some are being a bit personal here (2nd and 3rd post). Isn't there a "team"? Obviously it was a team decision? However, I did see something a few days ago where there was mention of an upgraded forum coming in January. Perhaps that's the reason that it is now closed.

So you are saying that the CMCA forum is run by one person? I thought that there were other mods there.
