Kondinin Free Public Dump Point at Caravan Park

Post by BruceQ »

The Dump Point at the rear of the Kondinin Caravan Park is subsidised by the CMCA/KEA and is free for the public to use.

Lat/Long for GPS
-32.49560 118.26339

There is good access for big rigs and the dump point is low to the ground.

It's wonderful to see the hoses are still there.
I'd also like to resign the dump points with an additional 4" standpipe with a cap on it behind the mormal one we see in this photo.
Those amongst us with no muscles, bad backs & who don't want or need splashing in the face and who have the slide out cassettes or similar would REALLY appreciate it.

(my opinion only)

The hoses may be still there. but maybe not ??? These photos were taken on the 9th Nov 2011.

Maybe you need about a metre of flexible hose that fits over your cassette pipe ... that might save your bad back from bending so far and splashing yourself in the face ?? YUK !!! LOL :D

A folding stool might be handy for the cap too, but I often sit the cap on my rear bumper bar while I dump the contents ??

Cheers !!

To stop cars backing over them I suspect?
I could also imagine a few trying to get close enough to just open the tap & let it go without a hose.
Ever looked how many barricades are around a KFC shop?
I couldn't believe it.... even the side ones against the footpath had bollards.
Probably need them after seeing so many under cooked chooks .......

From the NZMCA website ....
"Two x 1m posts either side of the dump station is
recommended to prevent vehicles driving over the top
and damaging the unit."
