Mannum's recent storm

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Trees have fallen onto at least three houses, and a couple more are missing rooves, due to the strong wind that buffeted the Murraylands on Monday.
"ROOVES"???

Are they any relation to cows' feet?

AARRGH! Do we still teach English in schools? They obviously don't in Uni journalism courses!
Regards & God bless,

I suspect that I was taught "rooves".

I just checked.
Rooves as a plural for of roof is dated, but not incorrect. The Oxford English Dictionary lists “rooves” as an alternate to roofs,

Thank God for that - at least I didn't get the cuts from Sister Persecutor for nothing!
