RV Bundaberg

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

http://www.news-mail.com.au. Front page headlines in to-days paper-
DEMPSEY (Mayor) DRIVES BUNDY RV PARK DREAMS.
The council is in the process of looking for land to lease to CMCA for a park like they have established in Ingham. Looking for something which can be used 12 mth of the year. Looks as though things could be on the move at last.
Better than nothing anyway.

Well that's an about face isn't it ?
I am lucky in that I have a place to park in Bundy with some friends that have acreage, the last time I stayed there though, everywhere I went there were signs about NO CAMPING and threats about rangers patrolling.
It was just the whole general tone of it that said "not wanted" so we have not been back, I wonder how many more have felt the same ?

We had a meeting with the previous Mayor last year & this was in the wind then. Also knew that Jack (Dempsey) was very keen to get something started but there were quite a few of the ex councillors who were dead set against anything happening. Might try to get an appointment with Mayor this week before we leave Bundy to see what is happening. Has not worried us as we also have friends & rellies here since it used to be our home town.

No worries for me. Not inC##A so no good for me and beside QLD is for Queensland's. I stay below the border. Too restrictive for me.

The RV park at Ingham is currently closed. I can only hope he next choice of land is not in a flood plain.

Lets hope it has been a lesson learnt, the camps are costly to set up.

Is Ingham closed because of flooding ? If so, poor choice ( but maybe cheap)
