Quick question please.
What glue have you used to hold solar panels on to the roof?

I've been looking though the Soudal stuff. They seem to have a higher release temp. Even saw a Selley's Rapid Cure product with the release temp of 100C. Others seem to release at 50-60*

Re: solar panel gunky glue
I should have expanded......... (lazy bastard)
i have been using quite a bit of it and am very impressed so far. Certainly strong stuff, finishes well with the old "finger in the soap" or "paddle-pop stick" tricks. Sticks to anything, paints well. Black, white, grey or clear. Cheap too, $12.50 Bowens hardware. Masters have it too but not sure about the T-Rex model.
Downside is drying time (winter) seems pretty long winded. And I guess sticking to anything is a bit of a downside as well, tends to be all over the place if you are not prepared with rags and stuff.

Jon, I think I used sikaflex 11FC or 252. See viewtopic.php?f=14&t=588&p=17674&hilit= ... els#p17674

I think Terry has swapped to Simpson as it has a lot higher temperature failure level.

Yes, Sika seems to have a lower releease temperature. Quite low compared to others.
Bruce, do you know where to get Simpson?
thanks Jon

Re: solar panel gunky glue
I have been using the Simson 70-03 which seems to do every thing better than the stika 252. I have just glued 9 x 250 watt panels to my roof
