WILBOR TOO has left the Building

Post by Wilbor »

Well, we are off on another trip from NQ as far south as Tassie. Property sitters are settled in and looking forward to their stay. Bus is serviced and ready to go, TOAD is packed and ready to be towed.
Cross on the Spirit early December so have about 6 weeks to get there. Going down the middle through Clermont, Roma Lightning Ridge, Broken Hill kinda way and into SA for a change of scenery :D down the bottom and across the GOR to Melbourne. It's time for some good weather Heuy :!:
We will be in Tassie until March, 4 months this time, we had 6 months there last trip. It seams so long ago but we only got home from that trip last year  I didn't think the Tassie weather was that good to be going back but apparently I was mistaken :D
Hope to catch up with some of you on the road

A trip through Mannum maybe? The closed section of the GOR does have a by-pass so you only miss a bit of it, we climbed up the by-pass road hill coming from the Geelong end and continued on to a camp spot near Colac beside a lake. The road up through the mountain section was even better that the GOR in my book, it was raining as well so all the small waterfalls were really something to see.

Wot he said...
Did the GOR back-country in borrowed (son's) Jeep Renegade a few years back. Great fun! :D
Gee... that was pre-2007 when we bought our own Jim The Junior Jeep! Doesn't time fly when you're having fun!

Hey T1, will definitely see you there, flooded roads shouldn't be a problem by then (I hope).

Currently at Rolleston after a couple of days at Theresa Creek Dam, Clermont.
