Back home for a bit, well second home, Camden. Time for a new knee..... not looking forward to it though but continuous nagging has driven me to it, not the nagging pain.... the other type.

Had an absolute ball being on the road and can't wait to get back to it. Feel so closed in so glad its only temporary.

Bus went really well, some minor teething problems here and there but after a week or so all good. Been making updates and up grades along the road and plan a few more with the lay up. You get a lot of great ideas from fellow travelers. Met some great people also who will remain friends for a very long time. There seems to be way better people out there on the road and in the camps than local neighborhoods. Shame they couldn't be permanent neighbors.

Good on you Mary teach him who is the boss :) Hope the op goes well but remember to do your physio. Yes you are right with the "better class of people" out on the roads compared to the stationary neighbours. We returned home to a bloody mess in the garden not one neighbour thought it might be nice to hop the fence and do a good deed. BTW we paid a professional gardener to keep the property mowed and weed free. So far we have done nearly a trailer full plus I have been spraying the up and coming weeds..

Go to a physio before the op to get the muscles in good condition, that makes the recover so much faster and a much better end result. I was all ready to go and have a new knee fitted but once the muscle development got underway the reduced load on the joint improved the pain level to tolerable for a while longer, so I've put off the knee job now for a while and keep up the exercises, quite surprising once the muscles start carrying the load and the bones no longer grind together. Don't get me wrong, it doesn't make the problem go away but it does make for a faster recovery and faster back out there enjoying life.

Thanks Dr. Dotty and Terry.....LOl. Been walking as much as possible and bending the knees. I read somewhere ages ago just what you were talking about Terry and I know from experience sitting around tightens the legs up making them stiff so been on the move all the time and it definitely helps.

Very true, Core and pelvic floor. I was collapsing a few years ago. No one could work out was going on. An osteo realised my pelvic core muscles were very weak and I was just balance on the bones.

4 weeks of exercises and 2 years of pain gone.

Tomorrow is pre admission visit, all bloody day for gods sake. Haven't got a date for the actual op at this stage, guessing March April at this stage. Just in time to head back down south after convalescing.

Should have been but I keep putting it off. Got to go this time around as its getting real crook. Almost had them convinced to do both knees at the same time till they saw the ECG. Bugger what else can go bloody wrong.... Now to the cardiologist to see what's going on before the knee. Damn this old age thing is a PIA.
