Ray needs Mac help!

Post by BruceS »

I've noticed quite a few on the forum seem to be using Macintosh computers and was wondering if any of those might be able to help Ray get on the Forum?
He's reported that every time he tries to write a PM or go to a page it won't open it but goes to a Yahoo Search page instead.
I've done a few searches & it appears like it's a common problem.
Some search results here.

Bruce,
Thanks for the appeal, but I have managed to find someone to solve the situation for me...
At the Telstra shop of all places!
The solution was to delete all extensions which did any kind of search. I know it is a 'shotgun' solution, rather than a 'rifle' one... but it worked.
To get into the folder without activating the extensions was more complicated than I can explain... :o
It started by clicking on the three-bar icon in the far right of the menu bar, then going into Preferences. After that, it gets a bit foggy, but somewhere there's an option to open Firefox in Safe Mode. Then you select Extensions and delete stuff. :)
Hope it helps....
Regards & God bless,
Ray
