"""I'm wondering how many of us are likely to be in, or travelling through the Melbourne area early in the new year.
How many Melbourne based members do we have ?

No time scale on this, or actual location, but if there is enough interest those details can be worked out.
No min or max attendee numbers, just a matter of who wants to turn up.
Not even sure of the gathering format/theme, or if we'll even have a format/theme, but let's kick it about if you'd like to put some faces to names."""

Not really Vik but Yorke's is not far from Adel & gets swamped at times whereas Eyre's is a lot further & a bit quieter Rif Raf wise.

Usually a bit windy on the peninsulas in Sept/Oct so maybe on the Eastern side of Yorke's might be the go.
Evening fishing off Stansbury might produce a yellow tail or shark plus other shitty fish. (Tommy's & Salmon trout etc)
Son lost 200metres of 80lb line there one night. Didn't even look like stopping it! Smoke pouring off the reel he had it screwed down that far! One of them grumpy whites I reckon? He had half a kilo of sliced open fish for bait!
He still talks about it!

Any idea of dates Vik, trying to fit in a week end away for us requires long term planning, working 7 days a week tends to cause these sort of problems  Mannum is a nice place for a get together, we could probably even spend a few nights around the campfire then
