Speaking about heat wave, we have had the big fire fighting chopper zipping around most of the afternoon getting on top of a fire at Finnis, about 14 ks from here.. It is a huge machine when seen close up.

Heck Dot that's close!!! Has it stopped the Happy Clapper and the Wyatt Earps with their itchy trigger finger??

We are at Two Wells just north of Adelaide and it was 48 deg today!!! We are reconcidering going west now, will double back and probably head over in a couple of months, gunna find cool spots along the Murray not too far east along it though.

Suggestions greatly appreciated for big rigs?????? :?:
Cheers all, keep safe Dot & George and everyone in this heat.

Good god hope you were still hooked into power, hope the girls are doing ok.. Good thinking about not going over just yet.. You know where there is a parking spot if needed. Have friends who are staying at the Mt Barker CP for a few weeks they to have a big bus.. Happy clappy must be away but the other nutters with starter pistols are still active. Tippy toe has fluid infusion weekly now and is helping a lot. she is eating like a horse now and putting weight on. :D Keep cool.x

Well I don't really think you should be heading anywhere up along the Murray at this time of the year for the pussy's sake. It can get much too hot up there for them.
Right down near the Murray mouth is about the only coolish areas.
This time of the year it's best to travel at night and early morning across the big paddock & camp up through the day. It's just too hard on tyres, engines & all the rest of the running gear.
Have you thought about down towards the bottom of Yorkes Pen?

I agree with the Boss - I always have to do that!

Rather than back track, if your want to wait out the heat, Yorke's Peninsular is great, The days can be warm but you can always be beside the seaside for cool afternoon breezes. There are many great little town around there. The best cornish pasties in the world.
