Advice please...
The original decal on the van is wearing away and looking shoddy.
How do I best remove the decal and more importantly how can I remove the adhesive beneath it?
That leads to the next question - where can I get a replacement decal?

Um, I think I’d try a hairdyer to get rid of the decal, then Big Kev’s Goo Remover to get rid of the glue. Acetone maybe? But that might damage your paint.
Really I don’t know. I just want have ‘the answer’ on here one day and today might have been the day.

Alternatively... if the decal has craze lines through it, try applying your preference of turpentine, gum turpentine, diesel or WD40, etc. This will soften hardened adhesive, and often allow you to get started with removal. You may need a few applications, or to holding a soaked rag against the surface.
A "caramel wheel" can also work wonders. Search eBay... they're about $20.

Hi Tom, for a great range of decals check out the USA sites, Steve aka ozfueler got his from over there and much cheaper to.

Tom, I assume this is on the van in your avatar, the Jayco with gel coat panels ?
I'd start with the hair dryer/heat gun with a soft plastic scraper, and see how that goes first, then progress to the 'aramel Wheel' if needed.

Do keep in mind that the Caramel Wheel is designed for pinstripes, not full bodied decals.
It will do the job, but will require a little effort, a bit of patience and probably a few wheels to complete the job.
Well worth a try though.
Whatever you use to clean up the adhesive with, check it first somewhere where it's not seen
