Happy Birthday Lance. I hope that you had a great day. We will catch up somewhere on the road eventually. Maybe you should try a Taggerty weekend?
Cheers

Re: Happy birthday Lance!
Gotta get a Jon D invite to one of those David, but maybe Jon D will read this and ..... who knows actually as that is Jon D's call eh.
Congratulation on reaching the nearly able to retire age Lance, I bet you are getting excited waiting for the day to arrive when you don't have to get up to go to the paid employment, just have to get up to do all the unpaid jobs that will get piled on you.
No doubt you are trapped in the extended retirement age thing so it doesn't actually coincide with a birthday but requires a bit of bistro maths to figure out just when it will be. I reckon I'll start putting in the paperwork when I reach the magic 65 and by the time they have stuffed around getting it sorted I'll maybe get some back pay when I turn 70

Terry ol' mate....... !!!
You just gotta grab some of that disability support pension & age don't matter anymore!!
Another bonus is if you find a nice Dr you even get to park in those hundreds of unused parking spots right outside the front door....

Can't keep my heavy licence if I do that Bruce, well I couldn't in NSW anyway cause it's all cross linked over there. Might have to try for the disability pension again soon though, the body is not handling aging with grace that's for sure .... and I've never even met Grace so it's not that Dottles

Re: Happy birthday Lance!
Thanks for the good wishes ppl
Yeah, t'was an interesting weekend............
It was a inaugural Goldfields Music Festival and after hearing about it we figured we shoulda been there. We were.
Reading the blurb about it beforehand left us with a few questions which unfortunately went unanswered, we went anyway.
Yep, it was not well organised and they tried to cater to too many music styles. They'll have trouble if they decide to run it again next year unless they become a little less diverse in music styles
Music ranged from slow, mellow folky stuff to head banging stuff that sent us out of the hall.
Basically 4 seperate sessions each with a different style.
Gotta tell ya though,,,,,one you lady impressed me greatly. Maya did a mix of covers and self written songs with a style voice that reminded me very much of Eva Cassidy. Lovely music.
Yep, we'll probably go again next year unless something more in line with our tastes come up. Local music always wins.
All in all it was a good weekend to have a b/day, some good music, camped in a paddock, watching the stars at 2am.
Yep, a Happy Birthday
