There was a similar joke in a 1935 book I have, titled “You Have Been Warned”, about the British motoring scene of the day.

A: Roads built by the Romans have lasted to the present day.

My mind thinks I’m 18.
My sense of humour indicates I’m 12.
And my body keeps asking if I’m sure I’m not dead yet.
