Bloody Telco

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Bloody Telco

Post by mottleemob »

I don't know how op#$s did it but they disconnected our new number here in SA and reconnected us with our old NSW number including the 02 prefix. If we want to ring a local number we need to put 08 in front of it. If a local wants ring us on the home phone they need to put 02 in front of the number go figure Mumbai strikes again

mmm? How come you bother getting a landline connected anyway?
Most I know just use the mobile system & with that you ALWAYS need the area code anyway. (well I do anyway... even for local)
You need to plan for retirement now Phil!!! You can't drag the home phone behind the mobile honeymoon suite??!!
;) 8-)

Not sure the land line stuff is any good anyhow. Where I am I have used their NBN as my phone has no reception in the house. My plan is about to change over so thought I would do a test as their connection felt SSOOOOOO slow. Did a test by downloading some music on their NBN, I was getting 3 kbs fastest was 42kbs when I put the mobile outside and connected I got 660+ the lowest was 50+ while browsing and loading pages etc as well as downloading where the NBN was just downloading nothing else so I dont think they are getting their monies worth as they have the fast speed option LOL.
There is suppose to be unlimited download on mobiles so be interested in what that cost

We are seriously looking at the unlimited download mobile stuff and putting a yagi aerial up at the house so we can get decent streaming, the wireless NBN buffers so much it's about the same as watching commercial TV complete with the ad breaks, hopeless.
